Chrysler $2.99 Gas Guarantee
In response to customer concerns about rising gas prices, Chrysler LLC embarked on a project to offer an exclusive gas price protection policy that eliminates the risk of future spikes in fuel prices. With the purchase of a vehicle customers could enroll in the “Let’s Refuel America” program and receive a gas card that immediately lowers their gas price to $2.99 a gallon, and keeps it there for three years. The offer was available at over 3,500 U.S. Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge dealerships in the spring of 2008.
Thinktiv was responsible for nearly all of the assets and product packaging Pricelock did in order to sell the deal, execute the deal and align the ad firm with Pricelock's value message -- we even designed the credit cards customers received to redeem their price protected fuel! In fact, our co-founder and President, Paul Burke spent weeks at Chrysler in early Spring of 2008 as the acting CMO of Pricelock as one of the front-men on the deal team. The incentive program at Chrysler has been one of the most successful incentives Chrysler has ever run and was one of the critical projects that launched Thinktiv into a prominent player in complex product packaging and marketing space.
